Comptek Solutions Selected for SEMICON Japan 2025 with EU Business Hub

Following a successful presence at SEMICON Europa 2025, Comptek Solutions is pleased to announce its selection to participate once again in the SEMICON Japan Business Mission, organised by the EU Business Hub Japan. This marks the company’s second consecutive participation in one of Asia’s most important semiconductor industry gatherings.

SEMICON Japan brings together the global semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem to explore the technologies powering digital transformation, with a strong focus on smart applications such as automotive, AI, and IoT. The 2025 edition will further spotlight sustainability in semiconductor innovation.

Onsite Leadership & Technology Focus

Comptek Solutions’ CEO, Vicente Calvo Alonso, and CTO, Jouko Lång, will be onsite in Tokyo to engage directly with customers, partners, and industry leaders from across Japan and the international semiconductor community.

Building on its foundational Kontrox™ passivation technology for compound semiconductor devices, this year’s showcase will highlight both Comptek Solutions’ Kontrox™ LASE 16 flagship turnkey system for high-yield laser facet passivation and its ALD-integrated pilot-line equipment for industrial process development. Together, these solutions address reliability, performance, and yield challenges across edge-emitting lasers, GaN power electronics, and microLED mesa sidewalls, while also supporting sustainability through higher device efficiency, longer lifetimes, and reduced material and energy waste in manufacturing. All processing is supported by Comptek Solutions’ new ISO 5 and ISO 7 cleanroom infrastructure, enabling industrial-ready, high-quality manufacturing and process validation.

With its advanced process and characterization capabilities—playing a critical role in enabling consistent, application-ready device performance— Comptek Solutions also looks forward to engaging with the inspection and measurement community through the Metrology & Inspection Summit, held in parallel with SEMICON Japan. The summit, newly launched by SEMI Japan, highlights foundational inspection and metrology technologies supporting the future of semiconductor manufacturing.
